Tips: How to make your own nail polish

Hey Girlz! Yearning for that perfect manicure, but can’t find the right shade? Here’s how to make your very own nail polish. It’s so simple!

What you’ll need:

Your fave shade of loose eye shadow ( mica / pigment )
Clear nail polish ( make sure is not to thick, this will make it hard to mix )
Small spoon
Small bowl (optional, its only use if you wish to use it directly from the bowl & not polish bottle )
Plastic bag (optional)
Nail polish remover (optional)
Cone (optional but helpful..to pour in the powder with ease)
Artificial nail tip ( to test your new creation! )

What you’ll do:

1. Making your own nail polish is super easy! Start out by pouring some of the clear polish in a small bowl ( if not just mix color inside polish bottle ). Start off with only a little, because sometimes the eye shadow doesn’t mix well. You can add more later if you like.

2. Scoop out a little bit of eye shadow. If it isn’t loose shadow, put it into a plastic bag and break it down.

3. While stirring / shaking the clear polish, gradually add the eye shadow. The more you add, the more opaque the color will be. If you want to make more polish, add more clear polish.

4. Get creative! Add in glitter, mix colors, or add more eye shadow.

5. If the polish gets a little too thick, add a small drop of remover to the mix.

6. If you want to save some for later, find a small, clean glass container (old nail polish bottles work perfect).

7. Now apply some of your new polish onto you own or artificial nail!

Starting off with...

I just added one scoop of pigment color into my clear nail polish bottle.You choose how much or how little powder you wish to add, depending how dark or light you want it.

Slowly start pouring the powder into the bottle...

This is how it should end up looking...

You will then place the top on, place it between your hands and give it a twisting motion. You can also shake it until you notice that the pigment has mixed together with the clear polish. It will turn out looking like the picture below.
