The Benefits Of Mineral Makeup

Saturday, January 28, 2012
Everywhere I look today new articles are popping up on Mineral Makeup and the outstanding benefits it provides! Here is one of the most recent articles from Angie Leighsmith.

A new spin on an old trend is showing up on the faces of women all across the country. This new trend is the use of mineral make-up and it's causing a  beauty revolution. Mineral makeup has been used by women and men for centuries. Archeological digs have revealed makeup and cosmetic tools as far back as approximately 10,000 years. Now, celebrities like Cameron Diaz are showing up on the red carpet wearing the same type of eyeliner a Pharaoh's queen might have.

It seems like everyone these days wants to live healthier. They eat organic food, cut out preservatives, and now use mineral make up. It's the latest addition to an emerging beauty culture dedicated to better living. Unlike traditional products, mineral makeup is based on hypoallergenic loose powder that naturally nourishes the skin and that is good news for women with sensitive skin.
For years, women faced problems caused by unnatural oil buildup, harmful chemical exposure, and the uncomfortable masks of foundations, all of which is not experienced when using mineral make up.

Instead, you'll enjoy the following benefits:
- Mineral makeup lets you enhance your skin with positive beauty choices while not create more problems such as traditional makeup feeling like a mask. Mineral makeup's texture is lighter and different. Even with more coverage, you'll see a natural radiance and more of your skin, which can breathe.
- It contains ingredients good for your skin. Minerals like titanium, zinc, iron oxides and mica, refresh and rejuvenate the skin offering a genuine beauty solution.
- Mineral make up does not enhance wrinkles like traditional powders. Minerals create a healthy glow similar to the kind you had in your teens and 20's.
- Minerals help protect skin from sun. The sun is said to be the number-one aging agent. The zinc oxide found in mineral make up offers a natural protection.
- They make up can be used after peels. Skin procedures such as lasers and peels are common in today's spas and minerals are a natural choice to help calm and soothe your red, bruised, itchy, and inflamed skin. In fact, many experts suggest the use of it
after certain treatments since minerals cool the skin and encourage faster healing

Some other positive benefits of mineral make up are:

- No harmful ingredients with virtually no allergy risk
- Will not block your pores
- SPF - protects your skin from the sun
- Anti-inflammatory, helps to calm and soothe irritated skin
- Very water resistant which is great for humid environments
- Mineral makeup stays on longer and doesn't crease or smear easily
- Complete coverage for skin conditions like acne, rosacea & redness
- Contains no fillers such as oil. Talc, dyes and synthetic preservatives
- Composed of inert minerals which means it cannot support bacteria
- Not tested on animals

It is incredibly clear that the benefits of using completely natural mineral makeup far outweigh the advantages of traditional makeup products. Instead of blocking oils in and keeping important vitamins out, natural mineral make up helps nourish the skin leaving you with a remarkable glowing complexion. Not only is using natural mineral make up necessary, it is crucial when working towards having healthy skin with fewer blemishes.

Nail Fungus and Nail Salons

Thursday, September 29, 2011
Hiya Readers!

We all know that artificial nails have come to stay. It is rare to find a woman who doesn’t wear it these days. This naturally follows that they are used in covering their natural toes and to make them more beautiful. However, women have been known to use artificial nails to cover up nail fungus infection hence resulting in a coined word “artificial nail fungus”. Unfortunately, this doesn’t cure nor solve the problem. Instead, it worsens it.

Let me explain. Nail fungus grows in a favorable environment in which there is a lot of moisture and it is dark. Now when you apply artificial nails to the already infected toe nails, it creates an environment that is both dark and has a lot of moisture. Since these fungi grow only in areas that are airless and on feet that are both damp and warm, the artificial nail thus inhibits the easy flow of air around the toenail. Fungal nail infections are more common among the toe nails than among the finger nails. But please note that any finger nail that isn’t natural but attached to the real finger nail is a huge contributor to the spread of the fungal infection.

It is understandable that when the nails look yellowed as a result of the infection, the natural inclination is to want to put it out of sight and hide because of the stares you get on the fingers or toenails. But know that when you hide the nails under artificial nails, you are creating a more enabling environment that will foster the faster growth and spread of the fungus. So, while it is covered, no one else of course sees the nails while it keeps getting destroyed and the condition worsens. If this gets to the extreme, you may not even be able to hide it any longer as the nail becomes so bad that it is virtually impossible to even apply the artificial nails.

This is the reason it is better for you to nip the “monster” in the bud. The spread of the fungus nail infection is even more common among the women than men because of the flourishing beauty industry. It is common fact that women these days visit nail shops where professional nail experts help apply the artificial nails they want. Now, its very easy for women to get their pedicures and manicures done for them at these salons and because of this, nail spas are very rampant and well patronized by women and even some men.

However, these same salon shops which are a source of satisfaction to women can also be a source of sadness as they beautiful nails they go to sculpt their nails, can become infected by the nail fungus infection. This is possible because certain women who also visit these shops may have the nail fungus growing in their fingernails.

So my advice to all of you, is to observe and evaluate nail salons you visit. Check to see if they are practicing good hygiene and disinfection procedure, such as disinfecting/cleaning their working area as well as their implement tools that are being used.

How to stop biting your nails

Friday, September 23, 2011
Hi, Readers!

Are you a nail biter?...Do you know that nail biting is the result of stress, worries and boredom. There are many who unconsciously start biting nails. And nail biting is perhaps one of the most common habits present in this world. As much as forty four percent of adolescents are habituated of biting their nails. About 30% of the children between 7 and 10 and about 25% of the young adults are habituated of biting nails.

It is generally seen that males are more prone to nail biting than females. And to make it soft for people engaged in biting nails, it is found out that people with higher intelligence levels are more prone to biting. It might be because of higher level of stress and higher level of responsibility that is associated with higher intelligence. When it comes to stop biting nails, it is easier said than done. It requires a lot of effort to break this habit.

It would take time and patience to stop nail biting. Let us have a look at some of the suggestions that might help you biting your nails. Have emery board or have nail clippers wherever you go. You can go for nail creams that taste very bitter and help stop nail biting. It is also better to wear gloves and bandages to stop biting nails.

You can have a rubber band attached to your wrist to let you remind that you have to stop biting. Your family members and friends should always remind you whenever they see your fingers in your mouth. Many feel that biting your nails is perhaps the most innocuous amongst the so called bad habits. Most of the children and even adults have the habit of nail biting but biting should never be taken lightly. It has grave results.

Have you ever thought what the function of your nails is? Well, it has to protect your fingertips. It helps you to pick up small things and yes, how can we forget its function to relive itching. Now think about the situation when you do not have those nails to help you out.

When you bite your nails you are actually breaking your skin and that becomes an entry point for germs. If you have seen any compulsive nail biting person you would find that they engage in so much so that they actually bleed the finger nails. And that is a sure shot way of getting infections. We all know that germs reside under your fingernails and biting nails results in the transfer of those germs from your nails to your mouth.

However, if that is not enough, try to visualize all the things you touched all through the day and now think about all those getting an entry into the mouth.  You can use special nail polish that tastes very awful and that would help you stop nail biting. It tastes so bitter that you won't put your fingers again in your mouth.

Ebay Seller Review: TomTop & Ideacharms

Wednesday, September 21, 2011
Hiya!

I've decide to make a quick post on my recent won auction items on Ebay and mention a few early observation I've notice from the sellers so far. I'm going to start off by mentioning that I won these two items the same day. The first item I won was from the ebay seller ideacharms and it was 20x pink face fimo rod sticks. One of the things that I notice was that after sending out my paypal payment on Sept. 16 - I received a shipping notice on ebay that my item was shipped on the next day ( Sept. 17 ) of my paid item along with a tracking number - pretty much what some ebay seller's usually do.

Another detail I notice was the instant feedback this seller left the same day I paid for the item, which makes it to be a great seller so far based on its great communication & selling skills. Now, the item is expected to be delivered to me around 10/05/11- 10/19/11 which its approximately 4 - 5 weeks I may say, and I find that to be I really good and reasonable shipping time. Of course, if there's no holidays or postal problems that may delay the shipped item - other than that, so far I'm liking my purchase experience with this seller.

On the other hand, I won the white acrylic powder nail art builder manicure from the seller tomtop_auction. I also paid this seller on Sept. 16 and was shipped on the 20th. no feedback has been given to me yet for paying on time which is okay, because a few sellers wait to give it after the buyer has received the item. It's expected delivery date is around 09/26/11 - 10/03/11 reasonable shipping time as well. The only set back about this seller, is that they don't provide you with a tracker number because they say; "we choose the Hong Kong flat airmail without a tracking number. It usually takes one month work days for the item to get to your local office as for the usual international terms. However, you can check the shipping information showing the item sent out at our company's website:http://www.tomtop.com/trackorder ".

It was really nice of them to inform me about it and giving me a straight forward detail, because not to many ebay sellers do so. They have a really great communication skills and they response to all my questions pretty fast as well.

So far, when it comes to comparing both sellers based on their communication and selling skills as well as shipping. I must say that for now I rate the both ebay sellers equal. I will keep you guys posted as soon as I receive my items and will do a product review on them! :)

Using a prepaid debit card for online shopping

Saturday, September 17, 2011
Hiya,

A few months back one of my nail technician friends asked me what payment method I use to pay online when I shop for my cosmetic and nail supplies. They inform me that having to use their actual credit card have them concern about online shopping "security" website and fearing that their information might end up getting stolen. So, that's when I suggested them to use a prepaid debit card with the visa / mastercard logo on them. These prepaid debit cards don't hold no type of personal information, and they are easily to upload money as well.

With a prepaid debit card, you won’t spend more than you load on to the card. When you make a deposit on the card, the total amount becomes your limit. This can help you figure out just how much money you have to work with. It can also help you decide how to spend it. These prepaid debit cards work just like a credit card in many situations. You can use them online, in supermarkets, the mall, or really any place that accepts credit cards. This can be very convenient, especially when you want to do some shopping on the Internet.

In addition, they are a variety of prepaid debit cards, which in some cases they may have an annual fee, activation fee, credit check, build up credit ( if you have poor credit or no credit ). However, others don't have non of the above. As you look online for one, be sure to compare the different offers available. Read through the fine print and understand the fees involved before you apply. Then fill out an application and get ready to get approved right away. Making the most of the card is then up to you. You can visit Credit Card City for a list of prepaid debit cards.

Happy Shopping! :)
